The goal of Viridity Energy is to improve the operation of the Nation’s electricity markets.  We aim to do this, specifically, through the delivery of robust demand response and distributed generation services. In our first post we’d like to set the context for our blog.

One goal of this blog is to provide relevant and timely information regarding the financial, environmental, and social benefits achievable through enhanced customer participation in the energy market.  Quite simply, we believe that customers shouldn’t be forced into the position of being, solely, passive consumers of the electric markets. We believe that customers should have the ability to become active participants and are entitled to the positive benefits that result from their participation.

We will also provide detailed information about how customers–industrial, commercial, governmental, academic–can generate revenue by selling demand response services back to the market, by investing in distributed generation resources, in addition to the other revenue opportunities available in energy markets.
